Comfort and Social Distancing

To our valued clients:

The health and safety of our community is a shared responsibility and one that we take seriously.  We understand that each of you has a different comfort level with returning to the office and we are doing our best to address all of these thoughts and concerns.  Below is our list of guidelines as we return to the office location, in Downtown Buffalo, but please note we will continue to offer tele-therapy for convenience and safety going forward.  We are in this together.  Thank you for being patient during this time and we look forward to continuing to serve our Buffalo community and beyond.

In light of the health concerns and phases regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), our office has implemented the following practices:

  1. Proper sanitation procedures are being implemented in accordance with CDC guidelines to help keep our clients and ourselves safe.

  2. Tele-therapy will continue to be an option for all new and current clients when clinically appropriate.  You can schedule these appointments online at www.corementalhealthcounseling.com  or by calling 716-247-6425.  If scheduled in advance you will receive a reminder email with a link to access tele-therapy through your computer or cell phone.  If you decide to use your phone you will be prompted to download our free APP prior to your appointment.

  3. If you are having cold or flu-like symptoms, please do not come in for your scheduled appointment.  Even if you think you are not contagious, please be sensitive to the concerns of the people you may encounter.  Please call ahead and reschedule your appointment.  Clinicians have been advised to stay home as well if they are ill.  There is no fee to cancel due to illness.

  4. Adults are asked to attend individual sessions alone, unless arrangements have been made otherwise.  Clients under 18 are asked to attend with one parent.

  5. 45-minute sessions are encouraged during this period to allow for the least amount of contact with other clients in the waiting room and hallway and allow for clinicians to clean the office between sessions.  As a reminder, sessions begin on the hour and will end 45 minutes after the top of the hour.

  6. We have hand sanitizer available before you enter the waiting room and masks are available for you if you don’t have one.  We are also providing individual packs of tissues for your convenience.  We ask that you wear a mask to enter and exit the building and maintain 6 feet of social distance when in our offices.  We will do the same.

Please let us know if you have any questions and again we appreciate your patience during this time.  We are aware that every individual has their own comfort level with returning so please also keep this in mind if you decide to return to the office as well by following the above guidelines.  We will continue to offer tele-therapy going forward as well.

Thank you for your understanding, we look forward to continuing to serve you,
